[edit] Page Naming Conventions
Could you stop adding HOWTO, etc prefixes to page names please. This issue was discussed a while back and it was said this was a holdover from the early days of the wiki. I've actually updated the Help:Page_naming_conventions page now to reflect this. You can find more on the issue on Help_talk:Page_naming_conventions and the mailing list archives (I assume there's archives somewhere =P ).

I'm making another one temporarily because there was quite a bit of information left out of the article you merged into. Such as multiple card installs and using alsa-driver. I'll merge all the info into Alsa Merge, then back into HOWTO Alsa.

[edit] Kernel ALSA HOWTO Merge
Tulcod, I agree with the primary author of the kernel ALSA howto. I think when you went to merge these articles into HOWTO ALSA, you didn't take enough time to properly merge them. You need to be more careful with articles that a lot of people have spend time/effort on. I finished merging ALSA Complete properly, but I do not have the time right now to compare what's in the kernel article vs HOWTO ALSA. This might be something you'd want to look into.
I like what you're trying to do, you just need to be more thorough and careful about losing valuable information when you're doing it. --Jbdubbs 19:17, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
