Education PhD in chemistry, experience in fortran, C++, matlab, python, POSIX shell scripting, mostly science oriented (differential equations, no pretty GUI, spending hours on optimizing the source code to save a few days of calculations and eventually expensive CPU time...)

Discovered *nix with Solaris, then administrator of a small SGI O2 workstation then mere user of computers I never saw (telnet+vi!), some of my results published in Science (I am proud of this one.)

Now I have a small Vaio running Debian and a MacBook Pro running Mac OS X and Gentoo ~amd64 and I administrate an AMD Opteron workstation, which need an update.
