I’m an ordinary wizard from Czechia currently running some servers and one Asus laptop.

First time I met Gentoo was on high school when I first tasted Linux (for that time I chose Red Hat). Than I used to use Debian for its ‘apt’ thing until I bought my first own laptop (Acer TravelMate 4650) two years ago. I figured out that for my purposes (high speed, special patches to kernel and apps in order to run them on it, mobility, etc.) Gentoo best fits. Than I figured out that there’s also BSD flavoured Gentoo (I use FreeBSD and OpenBSD on some of my servers) and I picked this (meta)distribution as my Holy Grail.
