This tip probably should be added to the installation guide. glibc takes long enough to build as it is. I'm not sure if glis (Gentoo Linux Install Script) or bootstrapping uses the userlocales flag. --SmokesLikeaPoet 02:36, 12 Nov 2004 (GMT)

It's nice to see a few examples of locals, but not everyone wants english and german, there had been nice to have a list of all possible options and a small description, as some languages seems to have changed their original "name" as se has changed to sv. Don't forget that some langauges may have quite many different "character setups", and it's nice to enable all of them in case and it's not always you remember them all, so here too a list would be usefull.
