The simias ebuild dosen't worked for me. But there is a overlay and a guide: http://www.ifolder.com/index.php/HowTo:Building_iFolder_on_Gentoo

Since only the client is OSS and the server remains proprietary (and only comes with Novell's OES) this howto will be dead in the water.

The way I see it, Novell is abusing the OSS community by getting coders to improve the client, and offering nothing in return.

Novell now offer an opensource server called Simple Server, in addition to their commercial Enterprise Server.
This shows a far better understanding of the open-source business model: while the functionality is freely available to all they offer a version with extra features commercially. For now, Simple Server is less advanced, but at least its there. --Andykali 14:54, 17 September 2005 (GMT) 
Newer version of the software is avaliable, maybe you'll have better luck with that
