Talk:HOWTO Unmask Nvidia Drivers
From Gentoo Linux Wiki
[edit] Page Deletion Discussion
I vote for deletion of this page. Could we get a few others? --Jacobmar1ey 01:23, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
You have my vote! :) (IMO this article doesn't really make sense because the packages it uses are outdated and a general article about unmasking helps as much anyway..) --Kraymer 06:13, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Kill it. no pages link to it and the info is useless. --Jell-O-Fishi 16:32, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
I think there is an Error
bcause to unmask you have to add it to portage/package.unmask Or???
- No, not usually. Most of the time the latest drivers are masked by keyword, which means the Gentoo developers don't consider them stable yet (they have to be in the tree for a certain amount of time with no (major) bugs before they're considered stable.
- If the nvidia drivers are masked by package.mask, this usually means they're a beta release and even nvidia considers them unstable.
- See NVIDIA drivers for a more up-to-date article.
