[edit] Boot Parameters

It's unnecessary to specify in the kernel line of GRUB ( I'm pretty sure ) a resolution if you use the vesa-tng driver and the resolution is specified. I am currently using a 1280x800 and the VESA video-driver automatically falls back to the highest resolution ( 1024x768 ).

        VESA driver type (vesafb-tng)  --->
(1280x800@60) VESA default mode

[edit] atyfb

i don;t know if anyone knows them, but it may be useful to add information on the ati mach64 video driver for some people. From the research i've done so far, it sounds as though it functions like the sis driver, ex: video=atyfb:mode:1024x768-32@70

[edit] KLibc

Hi, I'm still very new to Gentoo and I (still am) experienced this problem with klibc:

Maybe it would be nice to include this in the page..
