This article forms the basis of what will hopefully be a wiki for Linux CarPCs built on Gentoo. It was sourced from https://www.timekiller.org/carpc/software.php with permission, and I would love for it to expand and flourish rather than stagnate and flounder. The article should be universal and informative, whilst not being overly specific on obscure hardware, perhaps linking to other wiki pages for detailed information on those hardware devices. It would be fantastic if we could either a) Start an overlay for hosting our custom (patched, and original) packages specific to the project, or; b) get required patches into the main portage tree. Also, a dedicated website would be a fantastic place for development of this and related projects. I will buy a domain and contribute to hosting costs if needed (if enough people are interested then it shouldn't be too difficult to get the required funds) --ViceVirtue 11:08, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
