I got it working through ndiswrapper + Win98 drivers, but not with kernel module as of 2.6.25.

Does someone get WPA working with the rtl8187? 84.128.149.32

I got it working with the kernel module (using WPA2 with wpa_supplicant). This might help you to connect to your access point. --syslogd 01:14, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit] error while trying to connect to 10-lenght WEP

Error for wireless request "Set Encode" (8B2A) :

       SET failed on device wlan0 ; Operation not supported
       wlan0 does not support setting keys
       or the parameter "mac_key_home" or "key_home" is incorrect
    Failed to configure wireless for wlan0

I used the /etc/conf.d/wireless WEP is typed correctly Everything is OK with the router It says also that /etc/conf.d/wireless is deprecated and recommends using /etc/conf.d/net

         iwconfig wlan0  essid home mode managed key 0123456789

it returns the same tzbishop2k@gmail.com

Perhaps you need to escape this key if it contains special characters? --syslogd 01:14, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
