[edit] direct rendering
I noticed on the page that some cards have listed: "no direct rendering". This is annoying since no card under Xgl will have direct rendering.(FACT) A starter might think their card is broken.
[edit] Squeeze Listing (ATI)
Wouldn't it be better to list per chipset, an just listing the various Cards under the Chipsets. I also think it is not necessary to split the diffeerent variations of the chipsets. The listing could be much more concise.
[edit] Clean-up card formatting (for nVidia and Intel)
I like the formatting of the ATI section, if somebody could do the same for the other video cards, that would be great. Hopefully I can do it if I get the time.

[edit] Radeon X1600 Pro AGP
Is the the Radeon X1600 Pro AGP supported ?
== Suggestion to encourage trials
It should be suggested that if the card is not listed, it could work, or maybe not. I'd like to know for my oldy tdfx card.
[edit] Radeon X550
I have had no luck whatsoever with my sapphire radeon X550 even though it is listed in the supported hardware list as "works perfectly." Does anybody else have any experience with this card and xgl?
[edit] ATI Radeon x850GTO (works)
Sapphire Radeon x850GTO works perfectly with ati-drivers-8.29.6 I wanted to add it to the list but I can't figure out wich chipset it has. Here's my lspci -v:

[edit] Geforce FX 5500
Can the Geforece 5500 work properly, and easily with Ubuntu and XGL?
What's the difference between the Geforce FX 5500 and the Geforece 5500?
[edit] ATI XPress 200M
Hi, I was running xgl and beryl without problems (until I changed some configs today) on a ATI XPRESS 200M. But here it says it was not supported. Worked fine using this howto
Cheers
[edit] Radeon X550
I have managed to drive successfully XGL and Compiz under openSUSE 10.2 with fglrx 8.34.8. The stupidiest thing in Ati fglrx driver is that you cannot use DRI and Composite both. My XGL ran great without Composite extension.
