[edit] New thinkpad_acpi Fix

I belive a simple

echo 0x00ffffff > /proc/acpi/ibm/hotkey

should work for the newer thinkpad_acpi driver.

If the keys are available you can check with

acpi_listen

[edit] Xorg.conf Trackpoint

Also im using

Section "InputDevice"

        Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"

in my xorg.conf and so far I haven't figured out what strange problems could occoure. Could someone please point out why one should use "/dev/input/mouse1" here?

Revilootneg 21:40, 2 March 2008 (UTC): Using my T61 together with Logitech LX710 wireless mouse/keyboard combo I get uncontrollable pointer movements using /dev/input/mice. These problems might be solved.

Lanoxxthshaddow 23:08, 2 March 2008 (UTC): im using an X61 with kernel 2.6.24 (amd64) and i works nice. Also i want to add that

Xorg -configure

also writes /dev/input/mice as a default value into xorg.conf i noticed that when i just upgraded to xorg-server 1.4 and xorg 7.3 (both testing).
I should add that im also using a logitech cordless mouse with usb dongle and have no problem.

Revilootneg 19:19, 3 March 2008 (UTC): As I said: It might be solved by now. Maybe I made a mistake while configuring or smth. else. Delete it if you wish. I don't have time look into this before end of march.
