I had my laptop plugged into the outlet. The cord had a kink in it and as I was working on the laptop I could see that the battery was losing charge. I figured that the cord was not any good so I powered the laptop off and went and purchased a new cord.

I plugged in the new cord and the laptop would not power up. Although I knew that it didn't matter if the matter lost all it's charge to make a difference.....I allowed time for the battery to charge and tried to power it up again....Nothing is happening, I can see the lighting bolt light turning on as I hold the power button down but the laptop is not powering up.

Please help me. What should I try. Any troubleshooting ideas or suggestions?
