How do you use / call mkxf86config?
[edit] cpuinfo not reliable anymore
There was a change in kernel 2.6.20 (or .21) that changed the way /proc/cpuinfo reports CPU frequency. It now reports ACPI frequencies, which are the stock settings in the CPU. So, if you have an overclocked or underclocked CPU, /proc/cpuinfo will not report the correct frequency. You will have to derive the frequency from BogoMIPS. Not a very nice change. Not sure why this happened. --68.118.120.133 05:46, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- It seems you're mostly sure about the information. Could you please fix the respective paragraph in the article itself? --Landroni 06:53, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
