I can't seem to be able to download the kernel config file. Would be real nice to be able to use it since I am having a little trouble getting the right kernel built.

[edit] CDROM and DMA

I think that there is no more need (as with kernel v2.6.17-gentoo-r8 Configuration) to add any options to the kernel line in the grub.conf file. Just making sure that you have SCSI CDROM support in the kernel and that all Device Drivers-->ATA/ATAPI/MFM/RLL support are disabled worked perfectly for me.

[edit] suspend2-sources

It seems that 'sys-kernel/suspend2-sources' no longer requires the ~x86 flag.

[edit] IrDA?

Has anybody made the IrDA work, e.g. with lirc?
