Interesting the following page suggests a max clock rate of some 163MHz.

Note that at 1920 x 1200 the only supported Vert freq is 60Hz.

Not saying that this does not work but.....

Paul C: Good luck, it worked well for me. One issue is I can't switch to tty 1-6 -- the "out of range" message pops up. TTY 7 and 8 with users running KDE work just fine and switching works too. Haven't had a chance to look into this yet.

Yes, TTY 1-6 do not work with this setup -- out of range message pops up. I guess it has not been enough of an issue for me to spend time on. I would be interested in a fix, if you find it, Paul C. If I find a solution, I will post an update.
