Talk:Dspam vpopmail
From Gentoo Linux Wiki
Could you elaborate on the reasons for using DSPAM vs. SpamAssassin?
Also Qmail now comes with a patch for SPP Framework. As such you can install a plugin to prevent mail being accepted for invalid users. The page is http://qmail-spp.sourceforge.net and there's plugin that works with vpopmail. In addition to provided docs you have to SUID all the vpopmail binaries used.--Netset99 19:31, 23 January 2006 (GMT)
I use DSPAM for a number of reasons. the quarintine and web interface allows spam to be held on the server and I can review any spam and clear false positives.
I'm moving to postfix. I love Qmail, but integration of all the tools I want and need for my hosting clients is just not work as well as I hope. I respect Daniel Burnstein immensely, but his choice of licence for qmail makes adding addiotional functionality with patches all the time is becoming a major pain in the butt. This is a dead wiki as far as I'm concerned. I'm switching to postfix for future mail servers.
