I disagree with the deletion of the article. "little" information is better than none. gentoo is not the easiest distibution for newbies, little details can make difference when trying to install a new app.

About "Uses bad practices (USE on the command line)." If USE on the command line is a bad pratice, why it is taught on Gentoo's documention page under the topic Declare temporary USE flags [1]?
