Stage2

Stage2 refers to the type of Gentoo install you are doing, your basic choices are as follows:
A stage2 install is generally reserved for those that were unable to get a stage1 install to work due to complications but still wish to compile as much as possible.
Note: this is unrelated to the GRUB files /boot/grub/stage2, or /lib/grub/*/stage2
