P2P
From Gentoo Linux Wiki
P2P is short for Peer-to-Peer. Peer in this context means equal, and P2P refers to two peers doing something on equal terms, such as sending and receiving data via Bittorrent or via any kind of network, where no person or computer has higher or lower status than any other.
On Linux there are a lot of P2P apps, the most notable being Bittorent. Most are found in the category net-p2p and can be installed with a simple emerge ''packagename'' code>
