Goal

It is my intention that this HowTo will help guide Gentoo Admins in Setting up Their Own Primary Domain Controller (PDC) using Samba and OpenLDAP. Setting up, configuring and understanding the arrays of options and their implications can be quite a daunting task. This HowTo aims to help.

Warning: This document is intended to work with OpenLDAP 2.2, i have not tested the usability of OpenLDAP 2.3 which was unmasked this week --Xarses 19:31, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
