You must have the modules for the card compiled into your kernel as modules:

Linux Kernel Configuration:
 Device Drivers  --->
    Multimedia devices  --->
      Digital Video Broadcasting Devices --->
        <M>   DVB Core Support
        ---   Supported Frontend Modules
        <M> STV0299 based DVB-S frontend (QPSK)
        <M> Zarlink MT312 Satellite Channel Decoder (QPSK)
        --- Supported FlexCopII (B2C2) Adapters
        <M> B2C2/Technisat Air/Sky/Cablestar 2 PCI

	  I2C support -->
       	(M) I2C support
       	(M) I2C device interface
       	(M) I2C Algorithms -->
                   (M) I2C bit-banging interfaces
                   (M) I2C PCF 8584 interfaces

You can load the corespondig modules automaticaly by adding them to /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6. If you do not want the modules to be loaded at boot, you can load them with the modprobe command.

File: /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6
